DUTCHESS JUNCTION FIRE DISTRICT
NOTICE OF THE 40TH ANNUAL ELECTION OF FIRE DISTRICT OFFICERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 174 and 175 of the Town Law, as amended, at annual election of Fire District Officers of the Dutchess Junction Fire District shall be held at the Dutchess Junction Fire House, 75 Slocum Road, Beacon, NY, within such Fire District, on the 13th day of December, 2011 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time at which the qualified voters of the Dutchess Junction Fire District shall vote for one Fire District Commissioner for a period of (5) years beginning on January 1, 2012 and ending on December 31, 2016.
All duly registered residents of the Dutchess Junction Fire District shall be eligible to vote.
Pursuant to a resolution duly adopted by the Board of Fire District Commissioners in accordance with Section 176(7) of the Town Law dated October 12, 2011 Candidate for the Fire District Officers shall file their names with the Secretary of the Fire District, George Sialmas at P.O. Box 107, Beacon, NY 12508. Together with a petition for their nomination as such candidate subscribed by at least twenty five voters of the said Fire District no later than November 23, 2009. The polls will be kept open for the receipt of ballots during the aforesaid hours.
The ballots prepared for the election shall specify the names of the candidates duly filed pursuant to the aforesaid resolution dated October 12, 2011 and shall in addition proper blank spaces for each office to be filed.
